She saw him.
From the very corners of her eyes she saw him...standing there watching.
Bringing her knees in closer to her chest she glared at him.
Defiantly, but with hatred or rage...
...just sorrow and a bitter disappointment.
It was his fault, somehow she was sure that this...thing that had happened to her was all his fault.
Her co-worker.
Her dearest friend.
But it was his desk that she had been thrust upon.
And his wine glass that now contained her.
She rubbed the soft bare soles of her feet against the wine glass as she fought back the tears.
She thought he cared...
She thought that he might have even...
she sighed as she focused on his face...and GASPED!
It wasn't his fault!
It couldn't have been, for at that moment she had seen something, something that she had missed.
